Does long copy work on the web?

A myth dispelled: People claim that long copy (or salesletters) on the internet does not work.

Fact: People who are not interested in your product will not read three sentences of your advertisement.

Fact: People who are interested will read everything you have to offer, so explain every detail there is about your product/service in your ad.

I have proven this over and over again. Don't listen to what people tell you, listen to the facts and what works. This key to success is to take the fear out of buying. The more people know about you and your product, the more comfortable they feel purchasing from you.

Many people think that if you have a fancy site with nifty graphics and features, you will make a fortune. Wrong, wrong, wrong. The key is the content of your site . There are no hyperlinks on the page for sub-sections (people just get lost). There are no fancy features. People understand simple. You must explain what you have to offer in simple terms and make ordering very easy. If you don't... you're destined to fail. How can people buy your product if they don't fully understand what you are offering and aren't clear about the best way to order!?
